Kids came rushing in the
doors,
Laughing, jumping, wanting
s’mores
VBS has just begun
A week of music, food and
fun.
Crafts and games and songs
and play
Filling each and every day.
Reading scripture, saying
prayers,
Running up and down the
stairs.
Pure excitement , youthful
bliss
Will adults survive all
this?
We are climbing to the top
Everest is where we’ll
stop.
Catching visions of our
God,
As the mountain path we
trod.
Past the igloo made to
last,
Down the cavern slick and
fast,
Sharing our adventure time
Seeking to relate the
rhyme
Of life lived in God’s
pure light
Each and every weekday
night.
Singing to enhance the
soul,
Learning what will make us
whole.
Sharing faith and growing
strong,
Teaching right and
shunning wrong.
Lots of work went into motion
Planning, building, true
devotion.
Wanting to create a place
Where kids can meet God
face to face.
Just a chance to share
Good News,
From a child’s simple
views
Of faith life that will
never cease,
Giving them God’s hope and…
